StephX My Story

Governance centre

Trust, Privacy & Safety

StephX is a private, therapist-guided workspace for story mapping, reflection, and session preparation. This centre explains client control, therapist access, optional dictation and AI boundaries, exports, safety responsibilities, and governance documents in plain language.

StephX does not provide therapy, diagnosis, crisis support, EMDR treatment, trauma reprocessing, or bilateral stimulation. Dictation is optional and does not automatically save, share, export, notify a therapist, or call AI. AI, where available, provides editable suggestions only.

Client control

Clients choose what to write, save, share, unshare, archive, restore, and export. StephX is designed for consent-led organisation before and between therapy sessions.

Private by default

New story and healing cards are private by default unless a client explicitly chooses to share them with their therapist.

Consent-led sharing

Therapist access is permission-based and limited to linked-client content that has been shared through the available controls.

Therapist-supported use

StephX supports therapy preparation and reflection alongside a therapist. Therapists remain responsible for clinical care and professional judgement.

AI is optional and organisational

AI features, where available, are optional and assistant-only. Suggestions are editable, not clinical facts, diagnoses, treatment, or decisions for the client.

Clear clinical boundaries

StephX is not a therapist, crisis service, diagnosis tool, EMDR treatment tool, trauma reprocessing tool, or bilateral stimulation tool.

Therapist notes visibility

Therapist notes have their own visibility rules. Notes are private to the therapist unless marked visible to the linked client.

Safety and duty-of-care boundaries

StephX is not a crisis service. Urgent risk requires local emergency or crisis support, and therapists retain duty-of-care responsibilities.

Careful exports

Exports are client-controlled and may contain sensitive information. They should be downloaded, stored, and shared with care.

Public legal and governance documents

These pages are visible publicly so clients, therapists, and visitors can understand StephX’s boundaries before using the product.
