Privacy posture
StephX is designed around client control. Story cards, healing cards, session prep, and archived content should remain private unless the client chooses to share through the available controls.
Sensitive information
Clients and therapists may enter sensitive information in StephX. Private content should not appear on public pages, and users should avoid placing secrets, passwords, or information they do not want stored in the workspace.
Current feature areas
- Story cards and healing cards can be private, shared, unshared, archived, restored, and included in session prep where the app allows it.
- New cards are private by default unless explicitly shared with a linked therapist.
- Therapist access is limited to appropriate linked-client content, shared content, and therapist-note visibility settings.
- Therapist notes are private to the therapist by default unless marked visible to the linked client.
- Exports are user-controlled and may contain sensitive information that should be handled carefully.
Optional dictation and AI
- Dictation, where available, is optional input assistance for approved long-form fields and creates editable draft text.
- Dictation does not automatically save, share, export, notify a therapist, change visibility, or call AI.
- AI suggestions, where enabled, are optional, editable, assistant-only suggestions and are not clinical facts or decisions.
- Speech-to-text and AI features may involve service providers when those features are used; the approved Privacy Policy PDF describes the governing privacy terms.
