Plain-language orientation
StephX is software for reflection, organisation, story mapping, and preparation for therapy conversations. It supports therapist-guided use, but it does not provide therapy, diagnosis, emergency response, crisis care, EMDR treatment, trauma reprocessing, or bilateral stimulation.
Use with qualified support
StephX should be used alongside qualified professional support where appropriate. Therapists and other qualified professionals remain responsible for clinical judgement, care, safety planning, and professional obligations outside the app.
Sensitive content and user choices
- Users may choose to enter sensitive personal information in story cards, healing cards, session prep, therapist notes, or exports.
- Clients are responsible for what they choose to write, save, share, unshare, archive, restore, and export through the available controls.
- Sharing inside StephX is user-controlled and does not imply automatic therapist messaging, emergency alerts, crisis monitoring, or clinical monitoring.
- Exports may contain sensitive information and should be downloaded, stored, and shared carefully.
