Writing support
Dictation
Dictation can help you speak draft text into supported long-form fields when typing is not the easiest option.
Quick overview
Dictation is optional input assistance for approved long-form fields. It inserts editable draft text for review and does not automatically save, share, export, notify the therapist, change visibility, or call AI.
What you’ll see
How this works
- Use dictation only where a microphone control is shown on an approved long-form field.
- Your browser may ask for microphone permission before dictation can start.
- The transcript appears as editable draft text in the field.
- Review, edit, or remove the draft before saving the form.
What dictation does not do
- It does not automatically save your form.
- It does not automatically share content with the therapist.
- It does not export content or notify anyone.
- It does not change visibility settings or call AI tools.
If dictation is unavailable
- You can type normally.
- Check whether the browser has microphone permission.
- Try refreshing the page if the control looks stuck.
- You can stop dictation or discard dictated draft text before saving.
